Bella Luna in Saint Helena Island

My wife couldn’t decide what to have, so she had three appetizers (some shared with me). Italian Wedding soup, bruschetta kind of bread, and a half caprése salad (pictured). All we delicious but the caprése was her favorite. I had a baked pizza sandwich (like a calzone) which was both large enough for two and delicious.

I LOVE BELLA LUNA! I literally make it a point to stop here every time I come into town! Maria's Italian cooking is almost as good, if not better, than your Mama's home cooking. I've never had anything from here I didn't like!

I love Bella Luna!!! They always treat you like family and the quality is second to none and really, when you take the family out isn't quality what you want? Ps, best pesto there is!!!

Phenomenal food! Everything is fresh and cooked in house. The Reuben was incredible, I could tell immediately the corned beef was made there and not Frozen. The same for the fries and cheese sticks, even the calzone dough was fresh and delicious. Definitely a hidden gem here. My only disappointments were not discovering this place sooner and that I got full before trying more. Don't forget to ask for the dessert menu! 🤤

The food was wonderful! My lasagna overfilled me. The bread with oil and garlic was also very good as they lightly season the olive oil. The cheese sandwich was good and bacon excellent: thick cut and delicious. Gerald was an excellent chef and Chayla was terrific as our server, prompt, polite, and professional with a happy demeanor and beautiful smile. We will return.

Food was ok but the service could have been better! The woman that waited on us for take out plates was rude. Could have had a return customer since we stayed near by hotel...but the attitude had us looking elsewhere!

I tried the lasagna at Bella Luna it was pretty good and definitely large. The flavor of the lasagna was really good I just personally thought the sauce was a little sweet for my taste. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals.

Amazing pasta, pizza, and cannelloni. Poppers were huge, but food prep was a little slow (45 mins). When we arrived there was only 3 other tables in use.

One of my favorite local places to eat. We take all of our family and friends there. And everything is always delicious.

Food is delicious and service was exceptional

The food was awesome but the servers were extremely rude!! We had to get our own menus, had to ask to be waited on, had an employee sling a menu across the table at my elderly mother and it almost flew off the table because she was angry that I said someone should have at the very least acknowledged us in the more than 15 minutes we were waiting. They were not busy so there should have been no excuse at all for them to completely ignore us for that length of time. The 5 of us loved the food but the service was absolutely horrible. We will never be back!!

We went several times for breakfast. Breakfast was excellent, service at times was slow but we were on vacation and it didn't matter. Food was excellent and most of the staff were nice and friendly.

The food is always exceptional and to die for. Authetic Italian cuisine and family atmosphere. Bella Luna has always been #1 in Beaufort for me. The owner is professional and knowledgeable and makes great food with real and fresh ingredients. The owner recently decided not to renew there liquor license but instead encourages customers to bring their own bottle. If you want to get a to go order call in and come through the drive thru window or pick up at the bar. To go napkins, utensils and additional sauces and toppings are always given at the customers request. I've never heard of "to-go plates"when ordering take out, but the food is always ready to eat out of a standard to go box or aluminum one. Staff is always kind and professional. Maria and Jay do a wonderful job at keeping the customers happy.

Great fast good food! Really cute friendly waitress! Definitely not my last time ! Back a second time a week later. Same cute waitress, phenomenal fettuccine Alfredo. With chicken! Could have done a. Whole Other dinner! Great little spot. Worth looking for!!!

Not so great. It does not taste like home made Italian food. Over priced and the ambiance is dark and gloomy. Ice tea was sweat enough.

By far the most superior in food and service! Food tasted just like back home in New York. The staff is friendly and answers all questions. Perfect mom and pop Italian cuisine. The food is absolutely mouth watering. The pizzeria options forgot about it! I will never stop eating at the beautiful place.

Absolutely amazing!!! As soon as you walk in the door, the wonderful experience starts! Feel right at home in the warm, welcoming atmosphere! Start with either a great salad or delicious soup ... but definitely don’t forget an appetizer! You can’t go wrong with anything you choose from the main menu - pasta, pizza, entrees, etc - because everything is fabulous! Be sure though to save room for dessert! This is A MUST!!! If you have found that you’re completely full, take a dessert to go! You will regret it if you don’t!!! Bella Luna is one of our favorite date night spots!!!

Fast service and great food!

AMAZING - My best friend , that also owns a small business suggested I try Bella Luna. I’m hooked ..I LOVe the Philly Bomber ❤️ I love the skinny fries with their own recipe seasoning they put on top (If you ask for it) Don’t let me forget the Meatballs which are fantastic. I am so stuck on the Philly cheesesteak bomber I have not tried much else, but I’ve never seen anyone walk out of Bella Luna disappointed. If you’re on ST. Helena Island be sure to swing by & try it. Well worth the drive if you’re in downtown Beaufort or surrounding areas. You won’t leave hungry either , the plate sizes area awesome

We stopped by on our way back from the beach. Good food, good service. Bread/garlic bread to go with the entrees would have been a nice addition. (You can order garlic bread as an appetizer.)The place was clean.

Our meal was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch! The prices were very reasonably too!!! We were greeted at the door on the way in with a very sincere welcome and a great smile! The same on the way out as well. I would highly recommend the Bella Luna Cafe to anyone looking for a great meal fairly priced and great service!

The food is always good but the service is very very slow. You have to have a lot of patience. The wait staff are doing the best they can under difficult circumstances.

Bella Luna is a great place with great food. The only discouraging thing is that it is about 45 min away, but it is well worth the trip. Breakfast, lunch and dinner items are excellent with genourous proportions. The price is very reasonable and the family friendly environment makes for a comfortable atmosphere. Bella Luna is also a proud supporter of all First Responders and Military personnel: active, veteran retirees, police, fire, ems, and dispatchers.

Im local and never been here before. It's a very authentic Italian place. Amazing food and casual atmosphere.

Best restaurant in the town serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Friendly staff, numerous food selections and easy parking. Sometimes service is slow, but well worth the wait. Reasonable prices and portions. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Nice italian restaurant that I had past many times and never new existed. A friend told me about it and I had to check it out. Took my wife there one evening and had a great dinner with nice small atmosphere. They didn't have a liquor license and i believe it was bring your own wine but i would call to confirm that.

No one even said hello to my family. We waited a good 10 minutes. No one even came to our table. We left and went to Boondocks.

One of mine and my kids fav spots to eat! Comfortable cozy and friendly. The food is fresh and hot when it comes out.

Initially came for breakfast, which was pretty good. Grits and eggs had flavor. Came back a few days later for dinner, which we had a Cheese pizza. Service and food were phenomenal each time!

Will never darken this doorstep again. Rudest wait staff I have ever encountered. We had a large party of nine and they acted mad we were even there and made a smart comment about us ordering drinks and was rushing us and we hadn’t even got to look at the menu yet. Then she left our table, went to a local in another table, turned her back and said something and started laughing. The waitress was rude to my husband who was trying to help her set up tables. She asked him why he grabbed a chair to put at the table. It was absolutely ridiculous and so unprofessional. I don’t leave reviews ever but seriously this was so uncalled for. Never again. We didn’t even get to the food because we walked out.

Food is amazing! Hands down best place to go in Beaufort for breakfast, lunch or dinner!! No matter what you're looking for they can satisfy your appetite!

They have great customer service and the product served is top notch. You will not be disappointed.

Food is always really good. Service is always very poor. If you aren't in a hurry it's a very good place to dine.

We sat for 45 minutes before we got our “food” and there were only three other tables occupied at the time. My grits tasted like they were under cooked in mop water. My husband’s sausage and home fries (which did not come with onions and peppers as described) were the same blackened color. Everyone around us was either waiting to pay, waiting to be seated, or waiting to eat.. and NO apologies or explanations.

Was not what I expected. I expected an italian cafe. I discovered that the service was well below par and when we ordered We didnt get what we ordered. The music in the Italian Cafe was hip hop and rap. The place was dark and the floors were dirty and needed to be repainted. the chairs were worn and torn and when the food arrived it was burt, A stromboli with cheese and mushrooms is all that was in the thing. No pepperoni or onions as was on the menu. The staff acted like we were bothering them for being in the cafe.SO we will not be back and never Will.
